Every season in West Michigan has it's unique, fun things to do for kids of all ages- from babies up to the "young at heart". Indoors or outdoors, no matter the time of year, there's always something great going on along the lakeshore for families to experience together!
In addition to the following list, check out all the special events and programs provided by Sandcastles Children's Museum and the Ludington and Scottville branches of the Mason County District Libraries!
Here's a list of family friendly events happening in February:
Saturdays from January 9th-February 13th, 2pm AND 6pm
Guided snowshoe walks at Ludington State Park- 8800 M-116, Ludington. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED BY VISITING signupgenius.com. The walks will be limited to 25 people and no registratins will be accepted by phone or walk-up. Face masks are required and the walks will last an hour and a half each. Meet at the warming shelter next to the parking lot. A State of Michigan Recreation Passport is required to enter the park. Stay Safe Mask Exhibit in Hardy Hall at the Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts- 101 Maple St. in Manistee. The Michigan Legacy Art Park and the Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts teamed up for this community art project. Over 300 masks expressing individuals' experiences during the health crisis will be on exhibit. Admission is free, but those interested in attending must reserve their spot in advance by visiting ci.ovationtix.com.Now through March 1st

Applications being accepted for Agriculture Scholarships sponsored by Smith & Eddy Insurance and Fremont Insurance. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students who intend to pursue a degree in agriculture. Eligible students must have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Students must submit the application, transcript, and an essay of no more than 1,000 words describing why they are pursuing a career in agriculture by March 2, 2021.Saturday, February 6th, 7am-5pm

Free Fishing Weekend in Michigan. All fishing licenses waived for the weekend.Friday, February 12th-Saturday, February 13th; AND Saturday, February 20th

Gettin' Jiggy With It Ice Fishing Tournament at Pere Marquette Expeditions- 1694 S. Pere Marquette Hwy in Ludington.Saturday, February 13th, 1-4pm
Downtown Ludington Chocolate Walk. Visit participating downtown businesses to sample sweet treats and shop. Free admission. For a map and more information, visit eventbrite.com.Saturday, February 20th, 9:30am-12pm
FiveCAP Walk for Warmth beginning at the Community Church- 109 N. Harrison in Ludington. Participants gather pledges and do a 2-mile walk to benefit FiveCAP.More Family Fun...
