The Frankfort-Elberta area is host to several arts and crafts fairs through the summer months as well as a holiday fair in late November. With its beautiful location along Lake Michigan, Frankfort attracts thousands of visitors every summer.
The Lakeside Shakespeare Theatre brings two Shakespearean plays to the beautiful outdoor venue of Tank Hill in Frankfort each summer.
Held in Honor each August, the National Coho Salmon Festival celebrates the birth of a great fishing location as well as the economic boost the fall salmon run brings to the area each year. The event includes a parade, car show, arts & crafts fair, and more.
The Winterfest in Beulah is held each February and includes fun for the whole family. Events include a cookie sale, poker run, horse-drawn carriage rides, rubber duck race, parade, fireworks, and more.
Held in downtown Beulah, the Benzie County Fallfest is always held on the first Saturday in October. There are a variety of events, like pumpkin decorating, kids games/activities, a classic car & motorcycle show and more.
The Frankfort Film Festival is held each October at the historic Garden Theatre in downtown Frankfort. Traditionally, eight films are shown as part of the festival. 2021 will mark the festival’s 13th year.
The city of Frankfort, along Lake Michigan in Benzie County, is a popular stop along M-22 with a bustling downtown and lake access.
Take one of the most scenic drives in the nation as you travel across M-22 in West Michigan. A long winding road of adventure awaits!
Along M-22, across Betsie Lake from Frankfort, the small Village of Elberta is a pleasant destination to visit with so much to do.
Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes has miles of sand trails and hills, where hikers are rewarded at the end with spectacular views of Lake Michigan.
The highest point along West Michigan’s shoreline is Inspiration Point, a Lake Michigan overlook on M-22 just north of Arcadia.
Standing tall and proud along the shores of Lake Michigan, Point Betsie marks the southern entrance to the Manitou Passage.
