This fall plant sale is a highly anticipated event in the community. All extra perennials from our members will be available for purchase at the sale. Local greenhouses and garden centers have generously donated plants and garden tools for the White Elephant section of the sale. Rotary Park- Corner of Lewis St. & Ludington Ave., Ludington.
This sale typically includes Conifer seedlings, Conifer transplants, Deciduous trees & shrubs, fruit trees, berries, grapes, dune grass, planting supplies, and additional items.
Orders may be placed online or order forms printed at oceanaconservation.org. Printed order forms should be mailed to 1064 Industrial Park Dr., Shelby, MI, 49455.
Dune grass is commonly used for erosion control in dune stabilization or in areas with sandy, dry soils. Many homeowners appreciate dune grass for its low-maintenance qualities—it doesn’t need mowing, and once established, it requires no irrigation or fertilizer, as it is a hardy native plant.

Planting a tree can be very beneficial to the health of the environment. Earth Day and Arbor Day at the end of April is a great time to plant trees, being the first opportunity where the ground is usually warm enough to plant.

Oceola-Lake & Mecosta Conservation Districts Fall sale includes a variety of conifer seedlings and transplants, as well as books and other conservation products.

This sale includes a variety of plants as well as hanging baskets and will be held in the circular drive next to the Corewell Health Ludington Medical Building- 7 Atkison Dr., Ludington. Proceeds benefit the Corewell Health Foundation.
Plants will be sold on a first come, first serve basis, no preorders. Plants provided by Weesies Brothers Farms. Cash, check, and card payments will be accepted. Newaygo County Fairgrounds- 815 S. Stewart Ave., Fremont.
The Friends of the Shelby Library hold this sale every year to benefit their organization. Donations of plants, garden tools, yard art, pots, birdhouses, and more can be dropped off at the Shelby Area District Library during open hours the week prior. The event is held on the lawn of the Shelby Area District Library- 189 Maple St., Shelby.
Hosted by the Mason County Garden Club, this event invites all members of the community to participate. Annuals, perennials, bulbs, corms, shrubs, trees, and houseplants will be accepted. All plants should be potted and properly labeled with any helpful growing information. If you’re unable to bring plants, please consider making a donation to the club for plants you’d like to add to your garden. Additionally, there will be a White Elephant sale. Leveaux Park- 900 E. Ludington Ave., Ludington.
The sale will be held at Armory Youth Project- 555 First St. in Manistee and perennial plants, packets of seeds, shrubs, trees, and gardening supplies will be available for purchase. A build a bouquet booth with cut flowers will also be available. Proceeds from this plant sale go to club projects such as civic beautification.
