Onekama Days

Summer 2026

Each August, the “Two Lake Town” of Onekama near Manistee hosts it’s annual Onekama Days celebration. People come from miles around to enjoy the festivities before summer ends and before school begins!

Here's what happened in 2025:

Thursday

  • 1-3pm – Rockhounding 101 at Pierport
  • 3pm – Block Party 
  • 7-8:30pm – Family Dance Party at the Lions Den- 7587 1st St.

Friday

  • 9am – Yoga on the Beach at Langland Park- 1927 2nd St., Onekama
  • 10am-1pm – Glen Park Adventure Walk- 8460 4th St., Onekama
  • 4-7pm – Onekama Lions Steak Dinner and Raffle drawing at the Lions Den

Saturday

  • 8am-12pm – Lions Pancake Breakfast at the Lions Den
  • 8:30am – Boosters 5k Run/Walk & 1-Mile Fun Run in Village Park- Portage Ave.
  • After 5k – Prince/Princess & King/Queen Announced & Thirty Day Challenge Finale
  • 8:30-11:30am – 30 Day Challenge Reception
  • 9am-2:30pm – Frank English Memorial Car Show in Village Park
  • 9am-3pm – Church of the Brethren Yard Sale and Onekama Dye & Design- 8266 Mill St., Onekama
  • 10am – First Congregational Church Sale- 4920 Spring St.
  • 10am-3pm – Arts & Crafts Fair and Silent Auction on Main Street
  • 12pm – Butterfly-Palooza at 8001 Greenway St.
  • 12pm – Children’s Scavenger Hunt at Village Park
  • 2pm – Cornhole Tournament at the Lions Den
  • 4-7pm – Craft Beer Tasting at Village Park
  • 5-6:30pm – Live music featuring Feral Cats at Village Park
  • 5-7pm – “Pig Out for Onekama School” Pig Roast in Village Park
  • 6pm – Bump ‘n Run & Demolition Derby at the Manistee County Fairgrounds
  • Dusk – Fireworks over Portage Lake

Sunday

  • 8am-12pm – Onekama Lions Breakfast at the Lions Den
  • 11am-12:30pm – Butterfly-Palooza at Northpoint Park

Monday

  • 5pm – Magic with Michael Trixx in Village Park
  • 7pm – Live music featuring the Acoustic Madness Band in Village Park
