Onekama Days

August, 2023

Each August, the “Two Lake Town” of Onekama near Manistee hosts it’s annual Onekama Days celebration. People come from miles around to enjoy the festivities before summer ends and before school begins!

Here’s a Typical Schedule of Events: 


  • 5-8pm – Rib Dinner in the Village Park- Portage Ave., Onekama
  • Lions Beer Tent
  • “Fash Cash” begins at Absolute Auto Repair- 7530 Chippewa Hwy, Kaleva


  • 10am – Nature & History Walk at Glen Park- 8460 4th Ave., Onekama
  • 4-7pm – Onekama Lions Steak Dinner w/ Cash Bar at the Manistee County Fairgrounds- 7587 First St., Onekama
  • 7-11pm – Karaoke with Larry & Lexi Bialik at the Fairgrounds w/ Cash Bar
  • 7-11pm – Lakeshore Photo Booth at the Fairgrounds


  • 8am-12:30pm – Lions Pancake Breakfast at the Fairgrounds
  • 8:30am – Boosters 5k Run/Walk & 1-Mile Fun Run in Village Park
  • 9am-2pm – Vintage Car Show in Village Park
  • 9am-2pm – Friends of the Library Book Sale at the Manistee County Library- 5283 Main St., Onekama
  • 10am-3pm – Arts & Crafts Show on Main St., Onekama
  • 10am – Kayak Launch Grand Opening
  • 12pm – Butterfly Release at NorthPoint Park- 8001 Greenway St., Onekama
  • 1pm – Rock Painting & Face Painting in Village Park
  • 1pm – Lions Doubles Cornhole Tournament at the Fairgrounds
  • 4-7pm – Craft Beer Tasting at Village Park
  • 5-7pm – “Pig Out for Onekama School” Pig Roast in Village Park
  • 5-7pm – Live Music at the Fairgrounds
  • 7pm – TNT Bump ‘n Run Derby: Mid-Michigan Championship at the Fairgrounds Lions Beer Tent at the Fairgrounds
  • 9pm- 12:30am – Live Music at the Lions Beer Tent ($2 cover charge)
  • Dusk – Fireworks over Portage Lake (Rain date: Sunday, August 7th)


  • 8-11am – Onekama Lions Breakfast at the Fairgrounds
  • 1pm – Parade featuring the Scottville Clown Band on Main St., Onekama
  • 1-5pm – Lions Beer Tent in Village Park
  • 2pm – Scottville Clown Band in Village Park
  • 3pm –  Onekama Lions Club Raffle in Village Park


  • 7pm – Live Music in Village Park
