Onekama Days

August 2025

Each August, the “Two Lake Town” of Onekama near Manistee hosts it’s annual Onekama Days celebration. People come from miles around to enjoy the festivities before summer ends and before school begins!

Here's what happened in 2024:

Friday

  • 9am – Yoga on the Beach at Langland Park- 1927 2nd St., Onekama
  • 10am-1pm – Glen Park Adventure Walk- 8460 4th St., Onekama
  • 1:30-3pm – Science Fun for Kids at Glen Park
  • 5-8pm – Onekama Lions Steak Dinner and Raffle drawing at the Manistee County Fairgrounds- 7587 1st St., Onekama

Saturday

  • 8am-12pm – Lions Pancake Breakfast at the Manistee County Fairgrounds
  • 8:30am – Boosters 5k Run/Walk & 1-Mile Fun Run in Village Park- Portage Ave.
  • After 5k – Prince/Princess & King/Queen Announced & Thirty Day Challenge Finale
  • 9am-2pm – Frank English Memorial Car Show in Village Park
  • 9am-3pm – Church of the Brethren Yard Sale and Onekama Dye & Design- 8266 Mill St., Onekama
  • 10am-3pm – Arts & Crafts Fair on Main Street
  • 10am-5pm – Onekama Parks Scavenger Hunt at Village Park
  • 11am – Blessing of the Pets at St. John’s by the lake
  • 2pm – Cornhole Tournament at the Manistee County Fairgrounds
  • 4-7pm – Craft Beer Tasting at Village Park
  • 5-6:30pm – Live music featuring Feral Cats at Village Park
  • 5-7pm – “Pig Out for Onekama School” Pig Roast in Village Park
  • 7pm – Bump ‘n Run & Demolition Derby at the Manistee County Fairgrounds
  • 8pm – Onekama Days Parade on Main Street
  • Dusk – Fireworks over Portage Lake

Sunday

  • 8am-12pm – Onekama Lions Breakfast at the Manistee County Fairgrounds
  • 1pm – Butterfly Release at Northpoint Park- 8001 Greenway St., Onekama

Monday

  • 5:30pm – Magic with Michael Trixx in Village Park
  • 7pm – Live music featuring Elvis Tribute Artist Jake Slater in Village Park
