Enjoy tasting award-winning wines from local Leelanau Peninsula wineries and breweries, along with delicious specialties from local food vendors at the Leland Wine & Food Festival. In addition to great food and drink, there are beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands from our Leland Harbor venue.
The Leelanau Peninsula Birding Festival is held annually for three days in late-May, and is hosted by the Leelanau Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. A variety of festival field trips are offered within this event.
The Empire Asparagus Festival is held in May each year and celebrates all things asparagus. The event includes live music, entertainment, tent, food, a 5k race, an asparagus cook-off, kids activities, and more!
The Cedar Polka Fest is an annual festival celebrating the town’s rich Polish history. During the 4 day festival thousands of people descend into the village of Cedar to eat, drink, and dance the nights away. Food vendors offer Beer, Polish Food, Ribs, Hotdogs, Popcorn, and so much more. Kids will enjoy games, while adults will indulge in the unique atmosphere that only Polka can create.
Peterson Park is just minutes from Northport in the Leelanau Penninsula of West Michigan.
Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes has miles of sand trails and hills, where hikers are rewarded at the end with spectacular views of Lake Michigan.
Suttons Bay, in Leelanau County, is midway up the eastern shore of the Leelanau Peninsula and is a very popular destination.
At the very tip of scenic route M-22, Northport, in Leelanau County, is known for its fine marina, beautiful parks, and scenic beaches.
Take one of the most scenic drives in the nation as you travel across M-22 in West Michigan. A long winding road of adventure awaits!
