August 23rd-29th, 2026

The Oceana County Fair is held annually at the Oceana County Fairgrounds in Hart. The event features fun and exciting events at the end of summer. Area youth show off the animals they raised in the livestock barns. The Exhibition Halls house the creative exhibits produced by all ages. Thrilling fun can be found on the midway and at the exciting events at the grandstand.

Parking is free and regular fair hours are 9am-11pm daily. Midway and Rides are by Elliot Amusements. Special armband prices allow attendees to ride from midway opening to close each day. Commercial Buildings are open from Noon-10pm daily.

DIRECTIONS: The Oceana County Fairgrounds is located just two miles off the US-31 expressway (exit 134), at 1025 State Street in Hart.

  • 8am – Swine Showmanship, Breeding & 4-H Market Classes @ Hog/Lamb/Goat Barn Indoors
  • 9am – Youth & Educational Building Judging (buildings closed until finished)
  • 4pm – Harness Horse Races in the Grandstand, Free admission
  • 4pm – Sheep Showmanship, Breeding & 4-H Market Classes & Market Goat Class @ Hog/Lamb/Goat Barn Indoors
  • 5pm – Midway Opens, Wristbands: $20
  • Dusk – Fireworks

Wednesday, August 26th, 2026

*Senior Citizen/Veteran/Handicapped Day – Over age 60, Veterans, & Handicapped admitted FREE until 6pm

  • 8:30am – Beef Showmanship, Breeding & 4-H Market Classes @ Large Arena
  • 9am – Poultry Showmanship @ Rabbit & Poultry Barn
  • 12-1pm – Handicap Assisted Rides
  • 2pm – Midway Opens, Wristbands: $22
  • 3pm – Draft Horse Halter/Ponies, Mules & Cross @ Large Arena
  • 6:30pm – Draft Horse Driving Classes @ Large Arena
  • 7pm – Bump-N-Run/Figure 8 @ Grandstand, Adults: $15, Children 12 and under: $5.00

Thursday, August 27th, 2026

  • 9am – Dairy Cattle Judging, Youth & Open @ Large Arena
  • 9am– Goat Youth & Open Showmanship, Breed & 4-H Market Classes @ Hog/Lamb/Goat Barn
  • 10am – Rabbit Youth & Open Showmanship, Breeds & 4-H Market Classes @ Rabbit & Poultry Barn
  • 1pm – Drive a Draft (all welcome) @ Infield Horse Arena
  • 2pm – Midway Opens, Wristbands: $22
  • 6:45pm – Presentation of Oceana 4-H Ambassadors – Free @ Grandstands
  • 7pm – 4-H Market Livestock Auction (beef, swine, sheep & goats) – Free @ Grandstands

Friday, August 28th, 2026

  • 9am – English and Western Riding Classes @ Infield Arena
  • 1pm – Midway Opens, Wristband: $25
  • 1pm – Draft Riding Classes @ Large Arena
  • 1:30 PM – Draft Log Pulling @ Large Arena
  • 2pm – Heavyweight Horse Pull – Free @ Grandstands
  • 4pm – Cow Trail Classes/Costume Class @ Large Arena
  • 7pm – Tom Ooman Memorial West Michigan Pullers Tractor Pull, Adults: $10, Children 12 and under: $5. Events:

  • 5:pm – Small Animal & Junior Market Auction @ Large Arena
  • 6pm – Demolition Derby, Adults: $20, Children 12 and under- $10
