Finny Slam Ice Fishing Tournament
Hosted by Pere Marquette Expeditions and named for local fisherman, Ray Finholm, who passed away in a boating accident. Prize includes a 100% payout for the longest fish in each category: Pike, Steelhead and Perch. You must be in line for measuring by 6pm. Call (231) 845-7285 for more information.

February 28th through March 5th

Virtual Spring CommUnity Auction
Over 220 items up for auction to benefit the Ludington & Scottville Chamber of Commerce and Mason County Central School’s upcoming bond project. Registration begins on Wednesday, February 23rd at 4pm. Those interested should text 767278 to “auctionbid” and then visit auctionbid.givesmart.com to view/bid on items.

Fridays- March 4th, 11th, & 18th, AND April 8th; 4:30-6:30pm

Lenten Fish Frys in Ludington
Drive-thru fish frys at Ludington Area Catholic School- 702 E. Bryant Rd., Ludington. Enter off Bryant Rd. and exit on Monona Dr. Cost is $12 for Adults which includes Perch (8oz), Shrimp (8 pc) or Combo (4oz perch/4 shrimp), Salmon along with choice of fried or baked fish, vegetable, potatoes, cole slaw, dinner roll, and choice of dessert. Kids meals are $8 and include Perch(4oz), Shrimp (4 pc) or Combo (4oz perch/2 shrimp), or Mac n cheese; all with the same sides. Pre-event gift cards are available for purchase at the school office, Monday-Friday from 8am-3pm. Cash or checks only.

Fridays from March 4th-April 15th, 4:30-7pm

Lenten Fish Frys in Baldwin
Fish frys at St. Ann’s Senior Center- 690 9th St., Baldwin. Cost is $10 for Adults, $5 for kids ages 5-12, and Kids under 4 are free. Dinners include Cod and Pollock baked or fried, dinner roll with butter, french fries or baked potato, cole slaw, mac and cheese and a dessert. 

Fridays from March 4th-April 15th, 5-7pm

Lenten Fish Frys in Weare Township
Drive-thru fish frys at St. Joseph Parish Hall- 2349 W. Jackson Rd., Weare Township. Cost is $13 and includes choice of fried or baked fish, vegetable, potatoes, cole slaw, dinner roll, and choice of dessert. For more information, call (231) 873-5776.

Beekeeping Class
The Beekeepers of Mason County will host a Beekeeping Class at Mason County Reformed Church- 45 S. Amber Rd., Scottville. Participants will learn from local experienced beekeepers using hands-on exercises. The class is free but participants are asked to bring their own lunch and a canned/dried food item to be donated to a local food pantry. Masks are not required but seating will be socially distanced. Wednesday, March 16th, 6pm

Ludington Area School Kindergarten/Young 5’s Round-Up
Families with children turning 5 on our before September 1st, 2022 (Kindergarten) OR children turning 5 between September 2nd-December 1st, 2022 (Young 5’s program) are invited to tour classrooms, meet teachers, and complete the enrollment process at Ludington Elementary School- 5771 W. Bryant Rd., Ludington. Parents should bring the child’s birth certificate, proof of residency, immunization records, and receipt of hearing/vision testing.

Deadline to Register for Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts Theatre Camp
Kids age 12-17 are invited to attend a theatre camp on June 13th-June 25th with a showcase performance for family/friends on June 25th. The camp will be led by Broadway Veteran, Karen Curlee. Grip ‘n Rip FAB 5 Disc Golf Tournament

Includes a 5k, live music, pub crawl, and more.

Family AfFair
Annual free event where area businesses and community agencies provide resources, information, and fun surprises to local families. Due to COVID-19, this will be a drive-thru event again this year and each car will receive one bag of goodies. The Feeding America truck will also be on site for food distribution. Mason County Central School- 300 W. Broadway St., Scottville.

Mason County Young Farmers Tapping Day
Join the Mason County Farm Bureau Young Farmers, Kistlercrest Farms, and West Shore FFA in making Maple Syrup. Participants will learn how to tap a tree, see how maple syrup is made, enjoy some yummy treats, and spend time outdoors with neighbors. West Shore Community College- 3000 N. Stiles Rd., Scottville.
